Popcorn!

We decided to have popcorn and watch TV before bed and Ellie went to town!

I guess there is a pretty part of Pocatello! This is about fifteen minutes outside of Poky and reminds me of CDA a little.

So long story short, Chris won a trip to japan/hong kong through his business and asked me to go. Since i figured i would probably never go to asia on my own i agreed and here are our pics! We were in Japan for two days and Hong Kong for three. The trip was awesome but the plane ride there and back was awful. It was a neat experience for sure.
These are the amusement park/zoo we went to. They had pandas and seals and an aquarium with a cook jelly fish exhibit. I love stuff like that. The panda's were so neat and surprisingly small. A good end to the trip.

People here like to wear speedos. We went to the beach and this was all we saw. (This one's for you Brooklyn)

This is from the "fishing village" which is like a hundred boats lined up in the harbor where people live and then go out for weeks and fish. It smelled really bad but was humbling and interesting to see how they live.

This is a basket of fish drying on the top of someone's boat. Kind of nasty.

This is what we were fed for lunch that day. Big surprise...fish. A whole fish! The waiter came and cut it up so that it looked like we ate some so the cook wouldn't feel bad I think. We also had some squid, jelly fish tentacles, and dim sum. not a tasty meal in my book but i'm sure the Chinese would eat it. We actually had the waiter box it up and give it to our bus driver to take home to his family. Then we went to Hard Rock and ate American food when we got back to the hotel.
This is Hong Kong. The buildings here insanely tall. I prayed the whole time there wouldn't be an earthquake. Everywhere you look is skyscrapers and tall tall apartments. The middle pic is all apartments.

Kyoto, Japan

This is true authentic food that was actually fed to me at our table. The shrimp (head still attached) was not cooked (ie:RAW!), the thing in the bowl is octopus legs, and the other thing is a whole fish cut in half. I tried the octopus but couldn't really bite it so didn't eat any. Everything else was tofu which was mixed with fish and other weird things. If i never smell fish or see it again I would be a happy girl.

In Japan almost everyone rides bikes. Outside of stores and on the sidewalks there are just tons and tons of bikes. No one locks them to anything either. I guess crime there is not really an issue.

The cars are also really really small. I felt like i was in a cartoon!

This little guy on the scooter with the red back is actually a Pizza Hut Delivery driver.
The Golden Temple in Kyoto Japan. It was neat to see old buildings but none of them really looked old.

This was right outside the hotel. For some reason it has a nazi sign on it. I'm still confused about that. I don't know what the whole thing really is either.

A little japanese woman raking the dirt near the golden temple. I think they make them dress this way for the tourists.
Ellie was on this thing for about a week where she stuck her tongue out as far as it would go. I was glad when she was over that. We went to CDA to visit for a few days and this is Ellie playing with sadie the dog. She loved it there cause she got to play outside all day and get dirty.
