Well here i am in a 2007 Corvette. I have always thought that these kinds of cars are really really dumb. To make a long story short, Chris's dad needed a temporary place for his car and my garage was the lucky winner. Now I proudly leave the garage door open just a little bit longer to display it. Its so sad but very true. Anyways, his parents went out of town for the week so we decided to take it on the town. I can now see why people buy those cars. I felt so powerful and cool! Everybody watched as we drove by. We even got lots of whistles and honks. Not only that but when you go fast you feel like you are on a carnival ride! I still could think of a lot better ways to spend my money, but it was fun for a night!

5K Day

I forgot to mention that as my one year Ellie anniversary i decided to set a goal for myself to run a 5K. First of all I hate running and always have so i thought i would push myself to get in better shape than i was and hopefully learn to enjoy it. I still don't enjoy it but I now have the satisfaction of completing my goal! Lindsay (the coolest friend ever for doing this with me) and I ran together and she even took turns with me pushing Ellie in the jogging stroller...which had flat tires by the way i noticed when we were done. At one point we were passed by a 75 year old lady but it was fun and we did not come in last which was even better. Next year Lindsay and I are planning a triathalon which involves swimming, biking and of course running. I'm a little worried about drowning because I am not a good swimmer but i'm glad to have something to work towards. Thanks Lindsay!

happy birthday party

Yesterday Ellie had her first birthday party. It mostly consisted of Chris's family. I made her wear a tutu and a birthday hat that she hated but i needed the pictures. She was so funny the whole night. I can't believe how much she is growing and all that she is learning. One year has flown by!

Ellie got her own birthday cake for the big day. At first she was a little timid but dug right it after a few bites. The funny part is that as soon as she got sick of eating cake she realized how messy she was and freaked out! i had to take her upstairs and give her a quick bath before she opened her presents.

This is what I got Ellie for her birthday. She loved it! I was pretty proud to please a one year old.

Ellie in a goofy outfit and my newly painted brown wall. My house felt like a hospital so i got out the paintbrush

Playing at the Falls

We went to spend the afternoon by the river and I took the opportunity to practice on my new camera and photog skills (or lack thereof..a lot are out of focus). Ellie was a good little model. This is my new screen saver pic. She makes the weirdest faces sometimes and this is a pretty whiney face but still so cute. Its amazing how time flies and I am daily reminded that there are so many moments I need to capture! I don't know how i made it twenty five years without Ellie!

This is Ellie's true smile. It's hard to catch cause she has so many but this is the one i love best. I'm so excited i got it on film!
